Printing and Saving DDE Reports to FACTS

1. Complete all information and screens in FACTS necessary for the report.

 

2. Click on the Report button from the toolbar in FACTS.

 

3. Select "Print" on the Reports screen - wait for process to finish. Remember, DDE reports will not automatically print. DDE reports open in WordPerfect, allowing the worker to edit the document before actual printing.

 

4. Click on already opened instance of WordPerfect from the Windows Taskbar. Do not close FACTS!

 

5. If necessary, edit the document in WordPerfect. Spell check the document and proof read it. If you need a hard copy to mail, give to the client or have signed, print the report.

 

6. Click the File menu choice in WordPerfect, choose the "Save to FACTS" option from the drop-down menu. The Facts Enter Document Description response window appears. You type in a description of the report, not the report name. An example would be if you were printing a Treatment Plan to be signed you would put the date signed in the Description text field. Click on the Ok command button. The response window goes away and so does the report.

 

7. Close Word Perfect.

 

8. Click on the File Cabinet area of FACTS. Choose the appropriate area (Case/Referral/ Provider) to verify the document was saved to FACTS and in the proper area. Exit the File Cabinet area of FACTS to return to the previous focus.

 

9. Go to Other, Document Tracking, select the document you just saved to FACTS and enter any additional applicable information about this document. Click on Change.
